California Seaweed Festival: Celebrating California’s Kelp & Coastal Communities
  • calendar OCT 25, 2026
  • calendar 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • calendar Old Custom House Plaza, Monterey, CA

Join Blue Harmony at the California Seaweed Festival for a celebration of California’s incredible seaweed, kelp forests, coastal ecosystems, and the people working to protect them.

Blue Harmony will be there sharing our Waves of Change Quiz Loop, an interactive educational experience designed to turn ocean awareness into action. Originally created for the Blue Ocean Dome at Expo 2025 Osaka, the Quiz Loop explores some of the biggest challenges facing our oceans and invites people to discover how each of us can be part of the solution.

We’ll also be participating in a panel conversation highlighting the work happening at the Caspar Cove Project on the Mendocino Coast. We’ll share how divers, volunteers, scientists, conservation organizations, and community members are coming together to address the overabundance of purple sea urchins, support kelp forest recovery, and demonstrate the power of community-driven ocean conservation.

Come say hello, experience the Waves of Change Quiz Loop, learn more about what’s happening beneath the surface at Caspar Cove, and connect with an inspiring community working toward healthier oceans.

We hope to see you there—and together, we can keep creating Waves of Change! 🌊
