Be Part of Blue Harmony at World Expo 2025 Osaka, Japan

The Blue Ocean Dome, slated for the 2025 World Expo in Osaka, Japan, serves as a dedicated exhibition space and educational platform. Its primary mission is to raise awareness about the precarious state of our oceans, motivating visitors to take conservation action and promote sustainable ocean use. The dome incorporates sustainable architecture, efficient resource utilization, and eco-friendly technologies, embodying best practices in environmental responsibility.

Importantly, it aligns seamlessly with the core values of the Blue Harmony, further reinforcing the commitment to a harmonious and sustainable relationship with the oceans.

Blue Ocean Dome: Reviving the Sea

The pavilion, Designed by ZERI Japan, will stand as a beacon of hope and change, providing visitors with an unprecedented experience under the theme of “Revitalization of the Ocean.” Mr. Shigeru Ban, a world-renowned architect, will oversee the design, while Mr. Kenya Hara of Nippon Design Center, Inc., and Hara Design Institute will curate the exhibition’s contents.

The Blue Ocean Dome is an innovative hub dedicated to ocean conservation, education, and engagement. Designed to immerse visitors in the beauty and challenges facing our oceans, the Dome features three distinct spaces: Dome A, Dome B, and Dome C. Each dome offers a unique experience, fostering a deeper understanding of ocean health and inspiring collective action.

Dome C: The Wisdom of Humanity

Dome C is a forward-looking space, dedicated to envisioning the future of our oceans and the role of innovation in conservation. It will serve as a nexus for participating organizations and companies from around the world to present a variety of initiatives leading to the Blue Ocean, with exhibits changing regularly. We aim to become a networking hub so that we can leave behind a sustainable Blue Ocean through the wisdom of humankind.

The goal of this dome is to gather the collective wisdom of the world to protect the oceans and enhance the marine industry. Although the dome might appear small, each country, organization, and company will also transmit information from the dome to the world through the Internet. Together, we can deepen our understanding of the oceans, learn how to protect and nurture them and create innovations in the marine industry.

Blue Harmony’s Involvement in the Blue Ocean Dome

Blue Harmony is participating in the 2025 Osaka/Kansai Expo “Blue Ocean Dome (ZERI JAPAN)” pavilion event from July 14-20, 2025, as part of our ongoing commitment to ocean conservation and education. Our presence in the Dome will feature an immersive experience centered around The Waves of Change Film, an extraordinary presentation, developed by eMotions Studios, that showcases breathtaking images from the most relevant films of the International Ocean Film Festival and video from plastic pollution expeditions lead by Mary Crowley from the Ocean Voyages Institute.

The Waves of Change Film is designed to engage and captivate audiences, prompting important discussions about the health of our oceans and the urgent need for conservation efforts. Through stunning visuals and compelling narratives, the film highlights the challenges our planet faces and inspires viewers to reflect on their role in safeguarding marine ecosystems.

Our experience encourages curiosity and promotes knowledge exchange, inviting visitors to interact with the content in a meaningful way. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with thought-provoking questions and participate in a guessing game that enhances their understanding of ocean issues. The desire to select the right answer fosters an engaging atmosphere of learning and shared insights, drawing people into the conversation about the future of our oceans.

Additionally, as part of our mission to foster a deeper understanding of ocean conservation, we are proud to host a series of keynote speakers who are experts in marine science, environmental policy, and sustainability.

These distinguished speakers will share invaluable insights into the current state of our oceans, addressing critical issues such as climate change, plastic pollution, overfishing, and the importance of biodiversity. Their presentations will highlight innovative solutions and the latest research, empowering attendees with knowledge that can inspire action and advocacy.
